Images of Artists

Images of Artist:

I will take images of my female artist aged 17 with colourful clothes on whilst smiling- helping to reach my targeted fun loving audience. There will be 5 or 6 pictures, some in a high key white room with a plain background to highlight the artist features - some close up and some full body shots. The others will be on set in the locations from the production - for example in Burbage woods - with natural lighting. These will help to link my website and video together through the use of the same locations. The photos will be uploaded to my home page of my website letting the fans/audience of the artist see both media texts.

AV content:

 I will film an interview with my artist talking about the charity within the video and why it is important to her'. This will give both audiences, from each media text, an insight to why the charity is important and help them to feel closer with the artist because of the informal structure. It will also show a small part of the final production to promote it and leave the viewers/audience from the website wanting to watch the full thing.

Corrections for Website 1st Draft

From my first draft my corrections were: - Add Ken Burns effect on certain shots to create movement on them and add more 'life' those shots. - Trim 1:48 because it looks like my performers are waiting to be told to begin by the producer(me). - Change summer '19 on the polaroids to summer '91 to help the narrative be clearer. - Add more footage of the older woman because the narrative is not 100% clear and may be confusing to viewers who do not know my idea.  - Fill the dead time, that i have of the teenagers dancing, with more shots of the older women. This will also help the correction above.  How I changed these: - I was unable to add on the Ken Burns effect on the editing software I was using so this correction could not be completed.  - I changed the polaroid shots from summer '19 to summer '91. - I also changed many of my shots around and took out some of the dancing to create space for shots of the older woman. Music Video Analysis

The Vamps 'Somebody to you'  music video analysis: How is this a pop music video? This music video has many conventions of a pop music video. For example it focuses on the band in a mixed narrative/performance video of them trying to impress a group of girls. The narrative is emphasised by the beach location and the idyllic sunset lighting - in some shot the sun is shining behind the girls heads and could be argued this shows the girls as like a dream or angelic. When Demi Lovato features in the video she is shown only a mist around the edges of the screen, maybe suggesting she is also like a dream for the boys (supported by her never being in the same location as the boys). The beach is a safe, high key lit location which fits the convention of pop videos appealing to all audiences ages.
