My Ideal Audience Member

My Ideal Audience Member:


My ideal audience member would be a fun-loving 16-25 year old. Their everyday clothing would be brightly coloured and include mainstream elements/brands, to go along with new trends, but showcase their individuality. This audience member would listen to a variety of pop artists within the same age bracket; for example Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran would be relatable and endearing to my ideal audience member. This member would eat at brands like McDonalds and Pizza Express because they very mainstream and popular worldwide. 


VAL (Values, Attitude & Lifestyle) Type:

Ideal Members: Actualisers, Achievers, Experiencers, Strivers. 

These 4 audience types would all be targeted within my music video; having a wide range of mainstream members allows a massmarket for pop artists to appeal to and create for. 
These 4 types create a range of people, from popular image driven individuals to young impulsive adults who bore easily and quickly. My music video will incorporate all audience members by showing life as a  popular, image driven young adult with rebellious flare and intertwining this with the pressure of others opinions(intertwining Strivers with Actualisers).

Young and Rubicam:

The Aspirer, Explorer & Mainstream.

Aspirer - This group are materialistic and are driven by others perspectives of them; this my targeted type because they are driven by status and pop artists are popular to a mass audience - helping Aspirers be accepted by society if they listen to pop.
Mainstream -  This audience is the mainstream of society and the genre of pop is widely accepted by this audience type. My pop artist would be mainly targeting this type due to the large quantity and how  these people follow trends and society. 
Explorer - This group are generally young adults searching/exploring new things and are often the first to try out new things. My music video will offer this group something new and satisfy their young rebellious exploring side; it will appeal to all worldwide audiences so people from elsewhere can explore my video. 

MOSAIC Profiling:

Happy Families, Suburban Comfort & Urban Intelligence.

These groups all have a preference of the internet over other types of media; 16-25 year olds use the internet and social media a vast amount. My artist will upload and promote mostly online and therefore needs an audience type that will keep updated with the internet. 


My Video 

It will attract the perfect audience member by targeting young adults of 16-25 year olds with a rebellious flare and a passion to explore within society; however these same people majorly care about the views of society and their image/place within it. 
In my video I will use people of ages 17/18 that the audience can relate to and admire. These people will be mainstreamers who wear popular brands and eat at popular resturants to fit in with the newest trends.
