From my first draft my corrections were: - Add Ken Burns effect on certain shots to create movement on them and add more 'life' those shots. - Trim 1:48 because it looks like my performers are waiting to be told to begin by the producer(me). - Change summer '19 on the polaroids to summer '91 to help the narrative be clearer. - Add more footage of the older woman because the narrative is not 100% clear and may be confusing to viewers who do not know my idea. - Fill the dead time, that i have of the teenagers dancing, with more shots of the older women. This will also help the correction above. The Vamps 'Somebody to you' music video analysis: How is this a pop music video? This music video has many conventions of a pop music video. For example it focuses on the band in a mixed narrative/performance video of them trying to impress a group of girls. The narrative is emphasised by the beach location and the idyllic sunset lighting - in some shot the sun is shining behind the girls heads and could be argued this shows the girls as like a dream or angelic. When Demi Lovato features in the video she is shown only a mist around the edges of the screen, maybe suggesting she is also like a dream for the boys (supported by her never being in the same location as the boys). The beach is a safe, high key lit location which fits the convention of pop videos appealing to all audiences ages.
